Apeda Mevedir was the first agro based firm from Sikkim to undertake certification of farms for the promotion of organic agriculture in the state of Sikkim. Yangsum in West Sikkim was the farm to be certified organic from where organic ginger was exported to Europe. The lessons learnt in the export of organic produce has placed Mevedir ahead of his competitors. Currently Mevedir is working with many certification bodies for the certification of farms in all the four district of Sikkim.

SGS - A total of 11 Grower Groups located in the Soreng Subdivision in West Sikkim having 3901 farms with 3781.91 Ha is certified organic. The main organic commodities of this certified area include, buckwheat, rice, millet,  urad, cardamom, wonder hot cherry pepper, turmeric, ginger. Sikkim Mandarin, Yacon (ground Apple), chammomile and Kiwi.

IMO Control - There are 11 Grower Groups under IMO Control. The various crops   found in these certified areas include Ginger, Turmeric, Wonder Hot Cherry Pepper, Urad, Buckwheat, Millet, Soya Bean, Timbur (Schezwan pepper), Crab Apple  Kiwi, and Sikkim Mandarin. .

Onecert Asia - A total of 7 Grower Groups are under Onecert Asia with 3199 Ha area and 2634 farms is located in Gayzing District of West Sikkim. Some of the  major commodities in these certified areas include  buckwheat,  urad, cardamom,  turmeric, ginger. Sikkim Mandarin,  and Kiwi.     

Ecocert - 4 Grower Groups with a total of  1578 farms and 1875.051 mostly located in the Soreng Sub Division of West Sikkim. This is a major vegetable production belt with Tomatoes, carrot, Cabbage, Peas, Potatoes, Cauliflower, beans including Ginger, Yacon, Buckwheat and other crops

SSOCA - The four cardamom Grower Groups are certified by Sikkim State Organic Certifications (SSOCA). All these four Grower Groups are loacted in West Sikkim. There are total 1165 farms with  687.414 Ha  certified area.  

        Mevedir also provides services for Wild Harvest certification to the Government of Sikkim. The major product is large cardamom and seabuckthorn ( Hippophae salcifolia) under Wild Harvest.
