This is a very special pepper that is found in the Sikkim Himalayas locally called “Dalley”. The pepper fruits are round in shape and colour turns red upon ripening.
The strong unique fragrance and flavour of this pepper is relished locally. It is
mixed with bamboo shoots, and also grounded into paste and made into delicious pickle.
Many farmers from Sikkim grow this pepper which is available in the market from
the month of July till September.
