Mevedir was the first agro based firm from Sikkim to undertake certification of farms for the promotion of organic agriculture in the state of Sikkim. Yangsum in West Sikkim was the farm to be certified organic from where organic ginger was exported to Europe. The lessons learnt in the export of organic produce has placed Mevedir ahead of his competitors. Currently Mevedir is working with many certification bodies for the certification of farms in all the four district of Sikkim.
Our farms of Majhgaon and Yangsum in West Sikkim having 170 farmers with 260 Ha is certified organic since 2006. The main products of this area are cardamom, orange and ginger. SGS is the certification body for these two villages.
There are two sub groups in West and South Sikkim where the farms are being certified by National Organic Certification Agency (NOCA). The village of Tashiding has 475 farmers with 562 Ha while Ravangla in South Sikkim has 413 farmers with 655 Ha land. Major certified crops of these areas includes ginger, mandarin, buckwheat, red cherry pepper, turmeric and cardamom.
There are four organic certification Governments projects which Mevedir is providing services for Internal Control System.

Mevedir also provides services for Wild Harvest certification to the Government of Sikkim. The major product is large cardamom under Wild Harvest. OneCert is the certification agency for the Wild Harvest Product.
