Jim Ratcliffe, Stanford University
Jim comes to MEDEVIR with extensive experience in ethnography, educational technologies,
and environmental education. Trained as an anthropologist, he has conducted ethnographic
fieldwork in communities as diverse as fishing villages in Nepal to religious communities
in rural Maine. He has extensive experience in himalayan regions and has consulted
for many eco-tourism related ventures in the himalaya. With many years of experience
in the international nonprofit sector, Jim has worked for industry leaders such
as Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, and Kiva Microfunds.
Jim currently works at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University
and as an independent consultant in the Bay Area. Jim has a B.A. in anthropology
from Bates College and a Masters in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford
University. |
