(Hippophae rhamnoides L)
Sea Buck Thorn ( Hippophae rhamnoides
L) is a plant belonging to colder region os Asia and Europe. It grows in high altitude
areas in and around 2000- 2500 meters. Under natural conditions sea buck thorn grows
on hill slopes, rivers sides and on other wastelands where conditions do not suit
many other agricultural crops. It easily takes root in dry and infertile soil due
to the presence of nitrogen fixing bacteria. Rich resources of sea buck thorn are
found in the cold areas of North Sikkim. Lab tests have confirmed that the sea buck
thorn berries of Sikkim contains citric of exceptional quality. We have extracted
